What does New York City look like through my son’s eyes? From an early fascination with yellow taxis and stop signs, to now having a favourite subway line (L Train), for him this is home. Emigrating as a child means growing up in a different place than your parents. For me, it meant never feeling like my parents could really understand me. Were we culturally different, or is that just what growing up is supposed to feel like?
