Day 42
February 11, 2026
If there is one thing I’ve learned about New York City, it’s that you have to keep moving! A good thing for tourists to remember when strolling along the avenues, but as a governing value in our daily life, it’s far less useful. It’s easy to get caught in the trap of moving without purpose or direction, after all, the pressure of a fellow New Yorker reminding you to keep moving or worse, mistake you for a tourist, is enough to keep you throwing one foot in front of the other until not only do we not know where we where trying to go, but we can’t retrace our steps and find where we came from.
Sort of like that paragraph. At some point it stopped being about pedestrian etiquette.
